Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer and director, famous for his role as the lead of Birdman. Keaton's versatile acting skills make him adept at both comedy and drama. He's also played some romantic characters as well as appeared in several action thrillers throughout his career. His interest in the acting profession began when he was at the age of teen. He tried stand up comedy when he was in his early 20s. His comedy career wasn't a success, however it paved the way for his acting career. Inability to make it in the field of comedy, he picked up a job as cameraman for a TV cable channel. He realized his real love was behind the camera when he was working at the station. After a couple of episodes on Mister Rogers Neighborhood, he could land a television part. An actor with natural talent, he became popular quickly on television. In his early film careers, he had high aspirations and was well-known for his comic-book role. The actor gained further recognition when he portrayed the eponymous character in Tim Burton's Batman. In his later years, as a mature actor the actor also began to explore into producing and directing. For his role in Birdman (2014) the actor was awarded numerous nominations and awards.
