Christina Hendricks

Christina Hendricks (born April 15 1977) is an American actor best recognized for her role as Joan Holloway during the first seven seasons of the historical drama on AMC's Mad Men. Apart from receiving critic reviews, her role on the show earned six Emmy Awards nominations in the best supporting actors category. Through her professional career, she gained recognition for her part in comedy drama Another Period, a crime drama called Tin Star. Her performances are noted in films such as Drive Ginger & Rosa Lost River, the Neon Demon, The Strangers : Prey at Night Egg as well as American Woman. Additionally, she's recorded her voice on animations such as From Up on Poppy Hill Toy Story 4 or Scoob! Prior to becoming an actor, she had worked as a professional model. Her first substantial role came in the comedy drama series Beggars and Choosers following which she also received appreciation for her performance in the hit show Firefly. Esquire magazine honoured her with the distinction of being the sexiest and best-looking American woman for 2010, in their annual survey.
